I cried today,
when I saw him sitting there
a once vibrant soul
full of zeal for life
now left alone...
no family to call his own
so I shed some tears again.
I cried today,
as I saw her strolling aimlessly
along the sidewalk
She took to the streets at a tender age
No one came looking for her
Her soul she sold for Love
So I shed some tears again...
I cried today,
when I saw him in an alley..
robed in rugged, torn garments
oblivious of his surroundings
He stretched out his needle tracked arm
for yet another dollar that would buy him death
So I shed some tears again
I cried today,
as I passed by a mirror
Beholding an image of what I used to be,
visions were stirred as she stared back at me
Her reflection revealed apathy as I questioned,
Am I the one that passed you by without doing nothing?
so I bowed my head in shame
and cried again.....
