Pain

I know I hurt you
I can feel your pain.
But in my heart is a feeling so new,
An anger like pelting rain.
Why would you do that?
Why would you hurt me?
I thought you loved me.
But, I guess, some things don’t last long.
Now everything right …
I now know as everything wrong.
A darkness has settled over the light,
I can feel a tear stream down my cheek.
My strength has gone and left me weak.

I know I hurt you
I can feel your pain.
But don’t you see,
I am hurting too.
Deep down inside me,
The light has grown dim.
Maybe if I slit my wrists.
Maybe if I swallowed some pills.
Maybe just maybe, then it will all go away.
No, No … I will never do that.
I will never hurt myself to make you happy.

I know I hurt you
I can feel your pain.
The truth I tell,
After going through hell.
All I think about is you,
No matter what, you’re still my father.
Good or Bad, Happy or Sad, Black and Blue.
That I know so I won’t bother.
I know you don’t want me,
And I know you don’t need me.
