These two lives
Brought together by some force of nature
Brought together by fate
Yet torn apart by life
These two lives
So different, yet so much the same
One younger and free, the other older and bound
Both looking for one thing
These two lives
Intertwined by mutuality
Twisted by wants
Divided by obligations
These two lives
Seperated by age, by station of life
Distorted by gossipers and ignorance
Destroyed by pride and pain
These two lives
So close, yet so far away
Restrained by responsibilites
But free to love
These two lives
Crashing all too often
Not able to give in
Yet still not denying that these two lives
Should be one
