Thanatos’ Osculation

Come!
Lean thy liquescent profile
against the gentle veils
of gossamer slumber
caressing my weeping soul;
Lay thee down beneath
somber widow’s weeds
where only a luminescent sliver
glints,
demurely,
from her concealing robes
and whispers melodious songs
into the whistling winds
to echo a spellbinding ambience
across the quiescent dells,
laden with springtime’s burst of vitality
reaching forth,
towards the welcoming arms
of Phoebus,
reposed upon meridian’s divan,
awaiting the moment of awakening;
Intertwine thy classical melody
upon each human breath
huddled near enkindled hearths
for ardour's embrace,
dreaming of mirthful faeries
coupling in romantic bliss
with lush brilliance
shadow’d in baronial,
gentlemen’s cutaways and
recherché, chatoyant ball gowns
while a symphony of
tinkling gypsy blossoms
harmonize with the chorus of
vibrating katydids,
whose performance upon their
rhythmic violin strings,
serenade the edge of reality
drifting against midnight’s mask,
worn by the advancing harlequin
who’s terpsichore upon
virtuosi, silver-bell’d toes,
a ballet’s pas seul of mysticism,
beguile the illusion, ten-fold
awash within thy aphonic,
monochrome film
displayed inside a velvet-lined
theatre, nestled in the balcony
of thy tabernacle;
Partake, thusly,
thy sweet nectar
flowing in torrent waves
of crimson ferment
before thee wakens from this reverie,
for the monstrous silhouette
of vampryic pallor
imprinted upon his spectral face,
which hovers above thee
as Thanatos, incarnate,
waylays
to gather thy essence
until pure luminescence
is captured
within the awaiting touch
of fatal Celesta,
unto her eternal flame
shalt thee goest, credulously
and somnambulate within
a surrealistic trance
toward Acheron’s obsidian ripples;
Drink deeply,
thy invigorating cabernet
in arbitrary luxuria,
for each precious droplet typifies
the elixir of life
with its rejuvenating qualities,
to quicken the wan
of a lamia’s inanimate flesh
and plunge thee,
steadfast,
through the spiraling quasar
of mundane finality.
