Deep in the forest of nowhere
she found someplace to hide,
far from the crowds of maddening
that whispered with the tide.

Come join us beneath the ocean
where blues swallow you whole,
its symphony twisted magic
starts dancing with your soul.

Silence is quenched on the billows
yet demons still appear,
they ride on muted, white horses
who gallop toward your fear.

Their spray is woven on bowers
of moonlit serenade,
but vanish in the bewitching
upon the promenade.

Her heart bewails in abstractions
while surfs break on command,
drinking the gold of tomorrow
through jaws of reprimand.

The edge of evening is oxblood
that consumes inner peace
and dastardly leaves the voices
all shouting for release.

Turn east, where emerald towers
give solace to the blind,
their murmuring leaves of tranquil
will still uneasy minds.

Far from the crowds of maddening
that whispered with the tide,
deep in the forest of nowhere,
she found someplace to hid.
