I'm Forever Yours

The balmy fall nights
Build crispness on the air
Silencing the outside
As all are drawn inside
Locked up for winter
I sit up at night
Pondering the thought of you
I say aloud to myself
“How is it true?”

We started out as two strangers in a crowd
Waiting for the metro
The spring breeze cooling us
The glaring sun brought our eyes together
You said hello
And I made friends
From deep within I had an itching feeling
Someday you’d be in my arms

Summer nights kept us warm
As we walked hand in hand along the busy carnival
Your eyes came alive
At the bright lights and festivities
My eyes locked on yours
As our lips met
We shared our first kiss

Slowly the balmy fall nights caught us
And we were ripped apart
I longed for your love
And an aching pain grew inside
Overpowering my self control
I wept aloud
“Why, why can’t I find you?”

One day while waiting for the metro
The clouds parted and a breeze cooled my face
Turning from the glare of the sun
I see you
Tears streaming down your face
And your shirt soaked with tears
I run to you
Embracing you
Holding you close
I whisper into your ear
“I’m forever yours”

Wow, I really like this one, it’s been quite some time since I have written
anything and I hope that you all enjoy this one.
