I'm afraid of lights
You never know what shadows follow behind
And I hate to see figures on the walls
And hear creaking staircases down the halls
When I sit alone in my darkened room
Waiting for the daylight to once again resume
Watching the cracks in the floor boards grow wide
Water dripping through from the tears that I've cried
The reflection of the moonlight on the windows glass
With the terror of the shadows, waiting for them to pass
