cold heart

She had her hands pressed to her eyes.
and in her ever so pitiful mind
she ran the constant phrase
" whats this life for anyways"

She sat down and told them
Its cause I held on way too tight
It’s something that I always do
I’d willingly give him my heart,
And looking back now,
He had it in his hands, not even closed palms

Love is wicked, love is wild, love is wrong
It’s no picture perfect portrait made just for you and i
He rested his palm on the arch of her back,
He wanted to feel her tremble
He said, take your head off my shoulder
And don’t you cry on my pillow,

Remember me this way,
My finger tips running across your cheek
My blank face and my hands stone cold,
You tainted our love; we wont be us again,
Cause all you can do is cry some more
Remember me this way,
You on the floor and me above with a wide smile

To you, I’ve become untouchable
You cant beckon be back,
Not with you thousand apologies
He said; spare the shame, it was nothing anyways

He sobs; he’ll find you along the way,
He’ll walk with you on your path,
Someday you will be loved,

I can’t do that for you,
That’s why I’m letting you go
I’m sorry I’m leaving you tonight
I’m sorry I made this rain, here take my coat
It’s your quick shelter from my cold heart
