staring out my window i watch as all the people stroll happily by
a smile upon their faces and the sun shining above their heads
i can't help but let the contagious atmosphere overcome me
allowing a happiness to enter me that has been absent for quite a while
i slowly slip into the depths of my subconscious where i lose myself
within these thoughts that are the true nature of my happiness
thoughts of you and your beautiful face with its sweet smile
lying close to you, listening to the beat of your precious heart
watching you as you sleep and feeling the tickle of your soft breaths
i don't think there's anything i wouldn't give to be with you now . . .
