and im not there to see

all filled with tears for me.

the way you did today
while thinking of the many things
you wished you got to say

i know how much you love me,
as much as i love you
and each time you think of me
i know you miss me too

but if tomorrow starts without me
please try and understand
that my savior came and called my name
and took me by the hand

he said my place was ready
somewere far below
and that id have to leave behind
you the one i love

but as i turned and walked away
a tear fell from my eye
for all my life, id always thought
i didnt want to die

i had so much to live for
but you took it all away i didnt know what to do
it seemed almost impossible
that i was leaving you

i thought of all the yesterdays
the good times and the bad
i thought of all the love we shared
and all the fun we had

if i could relive one of our yesterdays
just for a little while
id say good-bye and kiss you
and hope to make u smile

but then i fully realized
that it would just kill me
for emptiness and memories
would re-take the place of me

but when i walked through hells great gate
i didn't feel at home
i saw my mighty deliverer
i trembled with fear beneath his throne

he said "this is your eternity
and all ive promised you
take away life on eath
and u are to start a life with me anew"

"i promise no tomorrow
but today will always last
and since each day down heres the same
theres only longing for the past"

"but you should have been forgiven
and now at last your free
so wont you reach and take my hand
share a life with me?"

so when tomorrow starts with out me
dont think we're far apart
for eveytime you think of me
im right here in your heart
