Don’t tell me I’m pretty,
Don’t tell me I’m hot,
Because like it or not,
I know that I’m not.
Your words can’t fix,
My ugly appearance,
Your words cannot help,
My hideous perseverance.
You don’t like what I say
But you have to face the facts,
You can’t change my self-image
With your 'Your beautiful' acts.
I’m not falling for it,
And I’m never changing my mind.
You say that I’m pretty,
I say that you’re blind.
Your words are fake,
Even though you think their true.
You think I have to like what I see,
But I wish you only knew.
I’m sorry I can’t let you
Keep fooling yourself,
I can’t hide these feelings
Up on the highest shelf.
So now you know the truth,
You know I’m ugly and unwanted too.
I hope you understand what I mean,
And know 'Your Beautiful' is sweet but untrue.
