Sitting alone in the dark,
Not talking,
Not thinking,
Not breathing,
Complete silence surrounds me,
No noise,
No movement,
Nothing,
Nothing but the sound of my heart beating,
It is so loud I swear it could explode,
It is getting louder and louder by the second,
Why is it that I am the only one that can hear it,
I want you to hear it,
I need you to hear it,
No matter what I do you never seem to,
Even though you’re the only reason it still beats,
You never seem to realize this,
You just walk by and take me being here for granted,
You think I will always be here,
But with out you I will not,
I would be gone,
Forever,
With out a trace,
Never to return,
My heart would forever stop beating.
