Crazy from that accident

I grasp your hand, hold it close
It vanished in my hand
I only have my memories
But they too are being separated from my body

My mind is being devoured
Why do you haunt me?
I can feel your hand on my cheek
But when I try to grab it, it is transparent

I feel your lips against mine
I feel your embrace
You not here, are you
My pillow is wet with tears

Stop tormenting me
Stay here, please, don’t leave again
This padded room can’t keep you from torturing me
Why can’t I embrace you?

You’re here, I can see you
You lived past that night
You didn’t die
I can see you as clear as a full moon

You don’t have that scar
That one on your stomach
Where that pole stabbed through you
My guilt has been relieved

For your standing here,
And I love you
Please don’t leave me
Not like that night, on that road

My guilt has been relieved
For your standing here,
And I love you
Please don’t leave me

I’ll be here always
Waiting for you to come back
From the white car
With those red light flaring
