Taken so suddenly;
I never got to say good-bye.
I love you so much Grandaddy!
I try not to cry.

Why were you taken?
We all miss you,
We wish you were here.
However, away your spirit flew.

Now all we have left are the memories,
We need to think back, and laugh and smile.
I will try to be strong,
I know we will see each other in a little while.

Your memory will not be forgotten,
There are way too many people that care;
We will be sure of that,
Grandaddy, you were one of the best
To you no one can even compare.

I miss you so much;
Grandaddy, I send you my love.
I know that you're still with me;
Looking down on me from above.

I know this will be tough,
But I will try not to be blue.
I will be strong for Maw-Maw;
And strong for myself, too.

I will never forget you.
Grandaddy, I love you so much.
I wish you were here;
I long for one more touch.

So Grandaddy, I say good-bye.
It's not something I want to say;
I will never forget,
Never; ain?t no way!
