I wiped them away

by just getting rid of me

"we're going to take a walk" you announced
I shrugged and followed you outside
you led me to the grocery store
we entered
you walked over to the flowers and picked one out
A Rose
my favorite
you handed it to me and said "for you"
the symbol of your love
thats what it is
the one thing that should convince me that you won't leave me
you'll stay with me forever
that flower holds the heart of our relationship
as long as its beating we'll be together
but if it dies
our relationship ends

I was speechless
Noone has ever given me one before
I was grateful
I felt special
Especially because I'm yours
And that you love me
~
you will never let me forget it
you tell me to brag to all of my friends
which i all ready have
They're all jealous and happy for me
~
As I sit here and think about this day
Tears come to my eyes
This time not out of sadness
but out of happiness
because I love you
and you love me
and i trust you with my heart
to not use it or bruise it
and tear it apart......
