The moonlight's fading quickly as shadows cross the room
The soft light pouring through my window to peirce the dark and gloom

I lay upon my bed, my wide eyes never blinking
I want to sleep but my mind is racing, I can't stop myself from thinking

I try to shut off all the thoughts, erase the pictures in my head
I forget these things on purpose, thing I wish I never said

Lost within myself in the darkness of the night
Wandering through shadow I cannot see the light
