Shame's Crown

The rain pours down,
She's beginning to drown.
A fatal mistake was made,
She allowed herself to be betrayed.
This she brought on herself, her only mistake.
Now she's left here alone, with only a heartache.

As the tears begin to fall,
She's all alone, no one to call.
And she longs for his tender touch,
She never knew, she needed him so much.

Now she sits there,
Nothing seems fair.
She let him fool her once, then twice
Now she's stuck to pay the price.
Watching the rain pour down,
She's wearing shame's crown.

As the tears begin to fall,
She's all alone, no one to call.
And she longs for his tender touch,
She never knew, she needed him so much.

The rain pours down,
She's beginning to drown . . .
