smile at her with those cheshire eyes
hidden beneath the mask of mortality
you whisper as she sleeps,
waiting for darkness until you can be at her side again
oblivious to your obsession as she is to her own perfection
as she lies dreaming, fitfully sleeping, staring up at you with
closed eyes, lashes smile in their halfmoons, the closest you will come
to seeing her happy as she cries in her sleep, impassive tears roll down
porcelain face and you kiss them away,
you little lover, suspended in time, watch over her for eternity as she's
dreaming,
lean over and whisper "mine"
