Remembering You

Another day goes by that I think of you,
Some are good but most are blue.
As I scan through old pictures I slowly begin to cry,
Remebering that day that I didn't get to say good-bye.
The love I had for you, God only knew,
But, he said it was your time,
That right now you were no longer mine,
So you opened your wings and away you flew.
At night I sit and think about the past,
Wishing time wouldn't have flown by so fast.
As I lay down in my bed,
So many memories run through my head.
Now you are my guardian angel,
When will I see you next?
Time can only tell.
No longer do I sit by my phone,
Awaiting a call with your familiar tone.
Right now you may be far away,
But don't worry, because in my heart you shall forever stay.
