Family Affair

You fight and fight and fight.
I'm tired of it every night.
That's not how families are supposed to be,
Can't we be a big, happy family?
Is that too much to ask for?
Why cant we be happy like before?
My friends's families are great,
They are nice and they're never late.
You argue that its all an act,
Most families have problems, and thats a fact.
But they can't have as many as mine.
Compared to us, they must look divine.
Oh, how I wish we could be like the perfect families in pictures.
Not with broken hearts and cracked fixtures.
For now I'll just stick with it,
Maybe when I move I'll just forget.
A girl can hope, a girl can dream,
But this family is like nothing I've ever seen.
No matter how terrible they are,
I find I love them forever more.
I guess thats how families can be,
and I'm proud to have them in my memory.
