They were perfect

Tear drops fade in this young man's heart
Broken by the words from this girl as they part
It’s nothing to say they were perfect as one,
But if this is how she wanted it, I guess that she won.

As I thought of them, I thought as perfect could be.
Anyone who was their friend, could know what I mean.
Used to see them happy, hands together as they walked.
I don’t understand what happened; when they fight they would talk.

Consequences fell,
But that means nothing to me.
When you swear, and yell
Then it's over between.

They were happy together,
I thought 'twas forever.

It's hopeless, they say.
In every single way.
Why not listen to your heart?
That’s what I’ve said from the start.

Tear drops fade in this young man's heart
Broken by the words from this girl as they part.
It’s nothing to say they were perfect as one,
But if this is how she wanted it, I guess that she won.
