your favorite mistake

it was good while it lasted,
i will give you that,
but the deeper we rose,
we lost sight of it all.
i dont remember what its like to be held in your arms,
and i cant even picture our last fucking kiss.
so as you watch me fade away...
what do you see?
is it me?
please let me know cause im breaking inside.
my heart crumbled to ash and is floating away,
my body dispatches from these feelings inside,
and im numb as i fly through your eyes,
as i cry in your hand
and watch
as you wipe it clean of my tears
and embrace your favorite mistake
who should have been me,
but it turned out all wrong.
im twisted and torn,
as i watch myself cry,
so black out my eyes
and let me watch the ongoing show,
in the depths of my emtpy
yet neverending
soul.
