his song for her

So here’s your song
The one I wrote just for you
He put his head down
And began to play it for her
He played it loudly
He played it crying the hole way through

Throw away the feeling
It was never meant for you anyways
Put your head down
I never really thought you were that beautiful
Throw yourself onto the bed
Letting your hopes fall from your fingertips
I could never do anything for you,
I don’t have that ambition,
Yes I know I said that I had a liking for you
But just like that it was gone in a minute or two

So call me shallow
And call me a liar
He said I can take it all
He said you’re not happy here
You are the prisoner of my device
Tell me the words to say to you
To make you forget, to make you not cry, to make you go away
He began, I’m sorry I laugh at you
Your crocked smile gives me humor
And at this moment, he says
All I want is to be able to shrug you off my shoulders

And the last thing she asks of him
Is for him to switch on the lights
So she does not fall, said she couldn’t even take that pain
Her last demanding plee, was for him to show her the way to the door
