Another fight we had last night
Harsh words were exchanged
You told me you'd stopped loving me
A long time before we fought
You made love to me knowingly
Foreseeing that you'd hurt me
You said that I blew my chance
Your love for me was gone
And in return I said to you
I hurt more from what you do
Then when my last boyfriend beat me
I didn't mean it honestly
But what you said was so cruel
I said it was convinient
I was always who did wrong
You were never the one to blame
It was always my fault, right?
You were always wrong though
Because I was always there
And I was endlessly loving and forgiving
I took the blame even when you hurt me
And even last night I bit my tongue
When you said you didn't love me
I just about died
I yelled and said I didn't believe it
Not for a single moment
And I brought up all the memories
All the little things you'd do
That always had convinced me
That your word and love were true
I said that I would always love you
I had given you my heart
You had promised me a life together
You couldn't break your word
You said alright whatever
I'm leaving now, I have a trip to take
I knew I could not let you go
Mad and feeling lonely
For although you said our love was gone
I know you all too well
And knew that you would miss me
Though anger may be in your heart
So I went to your house
Tears fresh in my eyes
You messed around and flirted
Played a little with my mind
Though soon you held me tight
Giving me small kisses on my forhead
Then you looked at me
The way you used to do
And told me that you did love me
And we would marry and have kids
You took the ring that I had bought
And slipped it on a string
You tied it around your neck
And the ends you burned together
You told me that you'd keep it close
Until you returned for me
I knew at that moment
With that loving look in your eyes
You were a stubborn boy
Hard as stone outside
But your heart belongs to me
And grows soft to hold our love
We can fight and say mean things
Yell and cry and leave
But our love will last
If you're willing to try
We'll make it through the worst
My love for you will never die
And we will know forever
What it's like to be in love
And what its like to hurt
We'll know the sorrows and joys
Of marriage, children, fights
Because you are mine
And I am yours
Our fight last night
Had made us stronger
You promised that you'd come back
And I miss you so much every night
But I hold on to what we have
To the memories we made
The same that got me through the fight
And the new ones that we'll make.
