Impressions killed the heart

Isolation is whispering my name
Confusion's blank stare has crept into my mind and heart
-slowly eating its way through my arteries and into my veins.
Hoping to turn my body numb.

I feel the icy breath of emptiness and jealousy crawling up my back
and digging its rotting nails inside my skin.
-scratching the surface of my aching bones in a playfully cruel manner.

You've left an impression on me.
