Cold,
like ice;
frozen spears
dripping,
paused and
sinister.
I am this,
I am this
picture in your
mind.

Sorrow runs through me
like cold water;
I am sinking
in the depths,
in the ocean
of my drowning,
droning mind.
I am sorry,
I am sorry
like you'd never
known this
language.

Understanding
comes to crash me-
for there's none,
for there's none.
I would open
up our minds
and let this mix
like my weekends.
I am done,
I am done
like I've never
made a promise.
I am speaking,
I am speaking
like I've never
said a word.

Cold,
like ice-
my hands are
frozen to my
pen.
My mind is
frozen to my
past.
I am sorry,
I am sorry
like I've never
apologized.
