Black petals of a bloody rose
Falls upon white washed snow
Tears from forgotten youth
Lies among forgotten truth

Walk along the edge of life
Stumble on the ledge to fight
Nothing to win, nothing to lose
All that’s left has been abused

When everything is striped
A life seems obscene
When the image is gone
This is how it seems

All waters are clear
White and pure
They’ve caught our gaze
And made you stare

Ripples are dancing
Breeze winding
Leaves bouncing
Flowers blinding

Always complaining about today
Inviting depression in to stay
This is how you live
Might as well give

Turn the skies
From black to gray
Shake rain from the clouds
And shout whatever you had to say
Would that change how far
You stray away?

Change the sunset
To purple and orange
Celebrate when an angel is born
Slash the stars with pink
Cover the moon with streaks
Sing a different lullaby
Of fantasy’s you seek
Smile when silent vocals speak

You see the life you live
Not life like this
View it in imagination
Wake to perfect bliss

Cutting is selfish
Blades are painful
Swamps are damp
Acids can stain
Drugs cause cramp
Nooses give
Gas is awful
But this is how we live

Run threw fields
Where grasses grow high
O’ertop stone where dirt shall lie
Through cold or warm
The world adjust
My slender claim
To honored dust

Do not question or reply
Never promise a morning sky
Shallow are the night wind sighs
Opinions mute as a blind mans eye

Deserts moan
Grave yards greive
Dead mans thrown
Loved ones leave

This is our view
Of the world we choose
Only mistakes
and what we have to lose
