Just a Friend?

You make me feel things
I never thought was possible
You make me smile
when I feel sad
I wonder to myself
is there a chance for us to be together?
But I know the answer
Friends is all we'll ever be
I try to tell myself not to be in love with you
But deep down inside I know I am
I'd give anything to be with you
I act like I'm not
I keep my feelings on the shelf
I want to tell you
But I'm afraid of your response
your so special to me and I don't want to loose you
you're the one who makes my life beautiful
But I wonder if I should just accept the fact we are friends
or break down because thats all we will ever be?
You could never know just what you do to me
The impressions you leave on my mind
The feelings you inspire me to feel
From this day on I have to pretend
and remember you're just my friend.........
