My sister came to me
Grabbed my hand
Said she’d always loved me
Said she hadn’t always been there
‘Cause she had to get away
She couldn’t take the every day hurt
She knew love was out there,
And she was the one that had to go find it,
She said it would be better in a day or two
When we all pretended we were happy again
You can’t depend on something that you can’t see
You can’t depend on love,
It’s an invisible lie
That’s why mom and dad never spoke it to us
They wanted to make sure we were always handed the truth
They had no need for love
No room in their cold hearts
No need
It only tore down there morals
A woman serves a man
A man does as god has entitled him
No need for the pathetic stories
No need for the happy endings
No need for the everlasting love
The inextinguishable ember
You all know it will die out in the wind
There is never a day
Where you wont get caught in my storm
I breed hate for you
You satisfy me with your anger
Children are to be seen
Not heard
She stitched our mouths
Along with our hearts
She told us you’ll never love
There’s never time
Nor enough pathetic souls to care
Everyone's out there to play there own game
Mother told us,
Put your hands behind your back
So she could tie them in place
Than we would never get the full experience on life
And for our mind
She owned that too
We could not feel the passion, the laughter or the real joys
She told us everyday will be colder than the first
Each dream will be more morbid from the start to the end
She told us we could never escape
No man will ever love you
She said don’t bother
Your father and I already played the cruel game
There’s no time-outs
No second chances
No restarts
Don’t ruin your day
You’ll never be entirely happy
My sister let go
But said she’d always be right along side
Said she knew all mothers evils
She told me to come lay my head in her lap
She told me have hope
Have faith
Have everything mother ever believed to be evil
She doesn’t know life’s truest beauties
