Darkness,
My good friend
Has come to wrap me up tight
So that i dont have to fight
Protecting me in my little cornor
Saving me from being scared
Doing things i would have never never dared
Kissing me with its soft embrace
Making my fragile heart race
Healing my battered soul
Seeping into my body to mold
Helping to mend
Helping to fend
Demons when i wake
Sleeping so they can not take
The rest of my torn up being
People looking, but not seeing
The terrible monsters that
They're breeding
See i do and hide
Biding me a little time
Staying away in sleepyland
So i dont have to face them again
