Do you know what it’s like to feel lost and alone,
As you sit in a chair with your whole family at home?
I’ll try to explain the best way I know how,
It may get confusing so listen close now.

When everyone’s talking and laughing out loud
On their words you can’t focus, you’re lost in a cloud
Full of worries, lost hope. Do you know what I mean?
The type of cloud so dense, it’s bursting at it’s seam.

Through the roar of the thunder you hear their voices though faint.
You long to be with them and pray God sends you a saint.
To guide you through this most devastating storm
To a beautiful place where it is safe and warm

And with eyes shut tight you imagine this place
As a series of emotions washes over your face
Happy turns to sad and your body starts to quiver
As you realize your still lost, it’s cold, and you shiver

In anger and frustration you cry to the storm
“Will I ever know what it’s like to live where it is warm?”
But there is only silence. No answer will you receive.
You’ll remain so lost and lonely for an eternity is seems

I hope this sheds a little light. I did the best I can
To let you know what my life is like, to help you understand
