Twas' there a night when I felt free
A time of relaxation, a time to be
Where I can sleep and dream of the days
Of life and love in so many ways

Twas' there a night like this one here
The trees waving leaves and doing their cheer,
And the stars are shining like the new year,
When will a night like this one appear?
A night like this one, so dear?

Twas' there a night like the one I'm dreaming of,
Will come true like the softness of love,
And be enchanting like heaven above
Will this dream come into play, or
Will I have this dream some other day?
