How do you know when to give up on Love?
This thought has consumed me, it’s starting to bug.
I really don’t think every there’s a squabble.
But what about when everything turns to battle?
I’ve always thought talking with your partner is good.
Try to work through your differences as much as you could.
But what about when you don’t talk anymore?
And it’s all been replaced by loud angry roars.
Is that when you say that “enough is enough!”?
Or do you love them so deeply you just can’t give up?
But as time passes by, battles turn into wars.
And you find yourself screaming and yelling some more.
It’s hard to believe the things that are said.
Things so painful you’d rather be dead.
And you swear up and down you won’t take anymore!
This time your not coming back as you have every time before
So there you are all alone as you try to stay strong.
You analyze everything, wondering where it went wrong.
But as soon as you think about good times in your past,
Your heart starts to smile; remember we always had a blast:
At the bar with some friends,
The fun never seemed to end.
“After Hours” I danced non-stop,
‘til you were sure I would drop!
The walks late at night,
When you held my hand tight.
And the times we spent at home,
Oh the fun we had alone!
You can’t help but feel that love as you heart skips a beat.
And your tummy fills with “flutterbies” as your body starts to heat.
That’s when you tell yourself you’ll give it one more try.
Your loves to strong to give up now, not ready to say good-bye.
Now I know the answer to the question I have asked.
You don’t give up on true love, no matter what, it will last.
