I tried to write all i was feeling
but nothing came out.
Looking at picture of porn star in lavendar
cover of a glam rock.
I am not inspired.
I studied marks on my face till I thought i would go blind
I talked myself to sleep
and drank syrupy poetry.
I am not inspired.
Androgyny, ambiguity
be my rebel teenage dream
your touch, and dress, and eyes obscene
hold me till I scream.
I am not inspired.
Black despair an endless night?
reaching towards my sorrows plight.
I reach and fall and claw and fight...
I am not inspired.
Set the stage for lovers sweet
kisses careen across my cheek
warm hot steam upon my brow
licking, biting, sucking oh how
I am not inspired.
Every format
every rhyme.
Every twist
and every time.
Haiku
free verse
sonnet
diamond.
crown
sestina..
nothing works.
Every emotion and every plight
every sex and endless night
thoughts all jumbled that my eyes are stuck together.
So much to splatter upon paper...
yet i still am not inspired.
