Teenage suicide is so last year

She is an outline of pastel
beautiful she.
She wears a ribbon in her hair
pink skirts
catchy shirts
beige eyeshadow
strawberry lip gloss,
beautiful
trendy
popular she.
"What a life!"
oh sigh.
"what trials it is to be beautiful!
to be perfect
to be loved!
Oh the horror and deception that is my existence!"
dirge.
"no one knows me!"
is that so?
"My heart is an icy pit of darkness and despair!
I burn with despair
and the angst that is my mind!"
orange bottle of sleeping pills
with a child proof cap.
Blue cup with tap water for the swallowing.
And a scented suicide note
written in pink pen.
"goodbye, cruel world! what a shame you did not know
the atrocities committed to me
the terrible void in my soul
that longed to be filled with real love...
and such.
I leave you with a note
so that you may know
that I died and no one knew the bain of my existence!"
several white pills touch a pink tongue
pink nails and tan hands touch a blue cup
and the water is brought to glossed lips.
Suddenly a pause
a measley hesitation
and pills a spit out.
"oh sigh."
Not able to follow through?
"its just as well," she adds
"teenage suicide is so last year."
