i'm such a damper on your evening
and you're everything that you should be
i said i'm such a damper on your evening
and you always know the right things to say
i feel like i'm such a flaw in your scene
the sympathetic smiles are all i'm receiving
but this is comin from a guy abnormally needy
i've said this multiple times but my life is receding

oh, what it would be to see things better
and accept them the way they are
i've heard that good things come to those who wait
well could it be that mine have come and gone

such a fool, everything i need is right here
right in front of me, open your eyes boy
why can't you jsut be happy, take it or leave it
leave it marked with a morbid atmosphere
that's what they know you for
you've scared them off before
found their way to the door
their tire marks are on the floor

oh, what it would be to see things better
and accept them the way they are
i've heard that good things come to those who wait
well could it be that mine have come and gone

i don't get it, who am i
what's wrong inside, categorize
me tell me what i've got
aside from obvious diagnosis
i just want to know if
i am stuck in false reality
