~Shelley Hendrick

Speeding down the dark road of the unknown,
I stumble,
As I fall to my knees, I begin to weep regret,
Why am I so curious?
Why must I see what is restricted from my virgin eyes?
It's human nature I suppose,
but it won't help me now
The desolution closes into my every thought,
my every state of being
I look to my cold, trembling hands
Now covered in my own blood
I look to the sinister sky for my answers
Finding none, my head falls to my blood-soaked palms
As the unrelenting pain of my defeat begins to take me,
a strangers compassion shines through the obscurity,
to guide me directly to my flawless fate
but he is no longer a stranger to me
He is more to me than anyone will ever be to me
He is my absolute everything
Thank You
