on this night, the cold and almost hell born night...
i tell you of an event that will put us apart.
we will be many miles from one another
and the distance will be more than to bear.

though i dread to break from your loving grasp. i must walk away and look
back, to see the look of sadness upon one so angelic, and keep that as my
last thought.

time will drone on and will slow to a near hault. i step out on to the flat
to see the sunrise and remember those mornings i awoke with you in my arms.
to see that golden fire rise, is all to similar to the spark in your eyes.

at the coming tattoo, i'll step out on the flat again and see the stars
dancing with the moon. only to think of that twinkle in your smile as you
bless me with a kiss at the coming slumber.

and i'll be all the more eager to dash off the brow to my love and wrap her
once again in my arms never letting go. no matter what the mission. to feel
all the love from one single embrace...reassures me that i'm home.

i couldnt come back if we didnt let go.
