A mass exodus of sanity

A mass exodus of sanity
as the harsh reality unfolds.
Everyone is hiding it,
our words left untold.
I tightly grasp thing string
my lifeline of hope.
truth will cut the string
"just let go"
No matter what i tell myself,
i must hold on.
Because without that faint hope i will fall
into the dark depths of the depressing water i dangle over.
but you do not care at all.

A mass exodus of sanity
from cheer to sorrow
descrution of fragile hearts
that were ment to be handled with care.
we hold this string for dear life
it might as well be cut
so we can cease the cries.

A mass exodus of sanity
as we sit here and scream out our lungs
depression hidden behind our smiles
hidden from everyone.
no one will know.
