i read an interview
about a laughable person
always made fun of.

but the interview read so different:
responses i might give,
and thoughts,
so like mine.

this laughable person:
had the same childhood,
same problems,
same everything,
just like me.

his role
he says, is just a role
he says,
with a grip on life
while we waive.

perhaps we are the fools
with so much more
which he may want
but still
the fools
to think less of this laughable person
who understands
what is laughable.
