In the midst of the never-ending battle I realized all I had was just not
enough
The battle was just too long, just too rough
The road then traveled was just too tough
Slave to the struggle and can’t get free
Struggle as far as the eye can see
But I have decided that I will not be beat, and shall not see defeat
Arising on beaten feet, beaten and weak, but not yet beat
Not yet conquered by cold nor heat
I am he who perseveres
Persevering through blood sweat and so many tears
I will prevail, although I continue to fail
Fighting through the heat of hell that just gets hotter
Come one come all, come hell or high water
Fighting until I win for deep within I hold that fire
An ever going desire to continue on and never tire
To give up I’m just too strong, I’ve already fought back this long
I can put up longer, second winded feeling stronger
Coming back with more energy than before, asking for little but giving so
much more
Fighting with a body that’s beat up bruised and sore
I have so much more to give, relentless in this life I live
I am responsible for my own success
For such reasons alone I cannot settle for less
There is no obstacle I am unable to overcome
Although I face a task too hard for some
I am he who will endure
For how long I cannot say for sure
Steadfast and strong on the right track
It will take everything and I shall hold nothing back
I will give it everything because I refuse to lose
Unable to stop me the struggle continues
