mood ring

My mood ring is black
My smile is a crack
I try and look back
To understand what I have done.

If you can truly read me like a book
Please tell me what I’m thinking
Open me up and take a look
For I can’t see
I don’t understand
Why I am me

People say I’m so predictable
But then why can’t I predict myself?
Doing everything imaginable
That is bad for my health
Tearing at my skin
Looking for the answers that lie within

People say that I have faded
I am jaded
That even when I was aided
There was no hope.

My mood ring is black
My smile is a crack
I try and look back
To understand what I have done.
