Standing in the rain
Thunder pounding in my ears
Drowning in my pain
Each raindrop is one of my fears
Splashing against the concrete
Holding the last hope
Shattering at my feet
I’ve reached the end of the rope
The rain turns to blood
Spilling with ease
The street begins to flood
The bloodline reaches my knees.
Let it swallow me up
Blood at my throat
Flows over my bottom lip
I start to choke
Crawling up my face
Consuming my being
At a terrifying pace
Like the most unholy thing
I close my eyes
It fills over my head
I let out little cries
I know I’ll soon be dead
A knocking comes at my door
I come out of my trance
Tear drops and blood splattered on my floor
I see the razor in my left hand at a glance
Throw it to the side with a sigh
I remember the disruption
“I’m fine” I lie
But my words are filled with corruption
I’ve lost control again.
