The Nothing

she swallows herself into her own damned oblivion;
the dark, deep, empty abyss. the nothing.
hundreds of thousands of pounds of deception;
barbie dolls with shallow smiles that equal nothing.
she falls eternally in a chasm of hollow happiness.
every painted grin a trophy; a memorial of her own fraud.
an oscar to her infamous performance; stand and take a bow.
why cry tears my dear? the crowd goes wild; hear them applaud?
kudos to you, you’ve stolen the hearts of many
but we cannot forget your thievery of their origami minds;
mere sheep with robotic actions to follow an idol
every syllable of every word you speak is a rehearsed lie
she swallows herself into her own version of hell;
the murky waters of the ocean of untruth. the nothing.
an unreality; a fake; a smile. she’s surreal and she fades away.
drowning in a pool of tears that no one cried. the nothing.
