Taking the Liberty of Reading Inbetween the Lines

I'm not beautiful, you said so yourself
Inbetween broken conversation
I'm like a dusty book on your forgotten shelf
Only taken down when you need some inspiration
You read my body up and down, left to right
Inbetween the lines you look for the flaws
So I only come out to you in the night
Where you can barely see the print at all
Everything on me is worn thin
And these paper scars that you give to me and I return to you
In my life living in this world of pretend
Goes on forever, I cant ever say goodbye to you
