Let You Go

I let you go, my love
To the arms of another man.
I hope he gives you laughter
Gives you what I can't

I have to bury all this hurt
And remain true to my words
To care nothing but your happiness
And promise to always be there.

I let you be free today, my love.
Free from my passionate grip
Free from the anguish
of waiting for my return.

You told me time was nothing
That our souls were joined as one.
But only to be dissapointed
With only my heart to blame.

I let you go, my love
no more will we make love.
No more will I look in your eyes
And see the meaning to my life.

I hope he makes you happy.
At least, for as long as he has.
For when he is gone, there no one left. Left you to think about what you
had.
