Eternal Peace

He lay in the dark room,
His body rigid.
His eyes brimming with the image of a blue sky,
Depression wrapped its dark wings around his shoulders.
The darkness pulled him in,
Surrounding every bit of his body.
His heart and soul crying for help,
For acceptance and release.
The tears slowly disappearing into the cool air.
He looks in the mirror,
At the image of a boy.
His expression cold and blank.
As the blood trickles down his arms,
Like red crystals upon his pale skin.
He’s nothing but a dream now,
A vision so perfect that will forever stay.
And now he knows,
The pain was all worth it,
For this eternal peace.
