I remember every moment with you.
I remember every day.
And a million times I've tried to call
but didn't know what to say.
For I've built this wall around my heart.
It's not easy to tear it down.
Ten bricks get added to it
for every one thrown upon the ground.
And I know I'm not the only one guarded
from the pain within my past.
But I'm trying so hard to let love inside
and to make this love last.
That it's hard for me to battle
this wall built around my heart.
And to know that mine is only
the first wall needing to come apart.
For after the battle at home is finally through
I'll have to work just as hard on your wall too.
So just know that I'm trying with all my soul
and don't give up on me, never let go!
