Bleeding Black Tears

Your fist is raised,
I can now feel the pain,
I start to cry,
And wish God would just take me away.

Again, your fist has collided with my jaw,
More tears flood down my face,
My breathing staggers,
I suddenly wish I was no longer in this place.

I try to understand why you hit me,
It's because you and dad fight,
I know you hear me crying,
When it's late at night.

I hear angry footsteps,
You unexpectedly storm in my room,
You pounce on top of me,
All I can feel is the rapid approach of my doom.

I feel myself fade away,
And finally after all these years,
You can see, as I die,
That I bleed black tears.
