I am like a door
Not lost or broken
Just unable to be opened.
As though my world is an hourglass
Awaiting to be freed from my cacoon.
I can scream for hours,
but the world will remain the same.
I might cry for days,
but it will not change my fate.
When love drifts away and all that is left is a hole,
The emptiness can take its greatest toll.
No one knows what it feels like to have to surrender the one you love,
Only to be used as amusement while your pain surfaces above.
When doning the right thing
Is the lonely feeling you hold,
You pray the time will pass
And the story will get old,
So life can move on
My door may be opened,
So that all can see
Who I am
A human being
